The event will host President Jin Liqun to look back on his experiences setting up and leading the AIIB since 2016, during a period of major reflection on the role of MDBs in the face of global polycrisis. Ahead of the G20 Finance Ministers’ meeting in October, which is expected to discuss a roadmap for MDB reform, and the AIIB’s co-hosting of the Finance in Common Summit in February 2025, the event will position the AIIB in the wider debates around the international financial architecture.

 

With a panel of development finance and climate experts, we will explore how the AIIB’s current strategy review is an opportunity to take stock and set out new approaches to deliver its priorities, including to mobilise private capital investment and secure climate resilience in Asian infrastructure.

 

The event will be moderated by ODI Chief Executive, Sara Pantuliano, and will feature:
