During his first eight months on the job, Banga has sought to change how the Bank itself runs, with a promise to “fix the plumbing” at the global lender, and unveiled major new initiatives—a pledge to increase climate finance to 45 percent of the Bank’s lending, the establishment of a Private Sector Investment Lab, a commitment to the largest-ever IDA replenishment, and more.
